🏆 The Blade
BEST SELLER — The Performance
The powerhouse of secure remote connectivity.
The Blade is a high-performance travel kit built for professionals who demand maximum throughput, exceptional reliability, and uncompromising residential IP connectivity. Powered by the GL.iNet Flint 3e Home Base and the Wi-Fi 7 Slate 7 Travel Router, Blade is designed for demanding remote work, large file transfers, and high-bandwidth applications from virtually anywhere in the world.
What the extra $89.01 buys over Scout Foundation: Compared with Scout Foundation, Blade adds Wi-Fi 7 at home and while traveling, plus a higher travel-router WireGuard benchmark (490 vs. 300 Mbps). Flint 3e provides five 2.5GbE ports, and Slate 7 adds dual 2.5GbE ports and a touchscreen. The premium buys newer wireless features and faster wired connectivity; it does not mean every VPN benchmark exceeds the Scout Industrial configuration.
Best For
• Video-intensive remote work and large file transfers
• Multi-device mobile workstations
• Digital nomads and long-term remote setups
• High-speed residential IP continuity
Performance Highlights
Residential Home IP Connectivity
Connect your supported devices to your own Home Base through an encrypted tunnel while traveling. Use only networks and services you are authorized to access, in accordance with employer policies, service terms, and local requirements. Account verification and geographic access rules still apply.

Your hardware arrives professionally provisioned and firmware locked. No manual coding or advanced technical configuration is required.
Firmware-Locked Security
Built-in network security controls help prevent unintended traffic leakage to local networks, helping protect your privacy and maintain secure connectivity while traveling.

Technical Specifications
| Configuration / role | Device | Local Wi-Fi | WireGuard benchmark (up to) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Blade — home | Flint 3e (GL-BE6500) | Wi-Fi 7, dual-band | 680 Mbps |
| Blade — travel | Slate 7 (GL-BE3600) | Wi-Fi 7, dual-band | 490 Mbps |
How to read these speeds: WireGuard figures listed are GL.iNet’s published maximum laboratory benchmarks for each individual router, not a guaranteed kit speed or a measured NHIP/Mothership Link speed. GL.iNet reports client-mode results; server-mode performance can be lower. Your actual connection depends on both routers, your home internet upload speed, travel internet connection, network distance, and routing conditions. Wi-Fi generation and band count describe local wireless capability, not VPN or internet speed.
Ideal Usage: Heavy 4K streaming, large file transfers, multi-monitor workflows, and demanding remote work.
